Woven by hand from elephant grass in Bolga, in Ghana's Upper East — a laundry basket with a story, not just somewhere to hide the washing. The tight coil-and-knot weave holds its shape for years, not seasons, and the bold spiral pattern means no two baskets come out quite the same — that's the nature of handwoven, not a flaw.

Two leather-wrapped handles make it easy to carry from room to room, and the fitted lid keeps the pile out of sight (handy if laundry day is more of an "ongoing project" in your house). Works just as well as blanket storage, a toy box, or general overflow once the laundry's done.
