Meet Ahoufe, a pot-bellied Bolga basket that brightens up any room. It's handwoven from elephant grass by an artisan in Bolgatanga, northern Ghana, in bands of burnt orange, pink and purple with a checked weave, and a multicoloured rim. The red handle is leather-wrapped, so it's comfy to carry and strong enough for real use.

Every Bolga basket is woven by hand, one at a time, so no two are the same. There's only one of this orange, pink and purple beauty, and when it's gone, it's gone.
