Medium Bolga Laundry Basket | Burgundy/Tan

Handwoven in Bolgatanga, northern Ghana, this medium Bolga laundry basket is a classic African laundry basket, bringing colour and craft to everyday storage. Skilled artisans hand-plait each one from elephant grass, a strong, sustainable natural fibre, in bold burgundy and natural tan stripes that make every piece slightly unique.

Practical and well-proportioned, it's finished with leather-wrapped handles for an easy carry, and its open-top shape makes it ideal as a laundry hamper for a bedroom or bathroom, or as a spacious storage basket for towels, toys or throws.

Every Nathez Bolga basket is fair trade and handmade in Ghana by artisans we work with directly, using traditional weaving techniques passed down through generations. Because each one is woven by hand, small variations in colour and pattern are part of its character, not a flaw.
